Treatment
Clear removable aligners that move the teeth in planned stages. Priced by case complexity from €1,500, with aligners shipped to you and check-ups by video between trips.
A digital scan and a set of records are turned into a treatment simulation showing every stage of movement from where your teeth are now to where they will finish. Once you approve it, a series of transparent aligners is produced. Each is worn for one to two weeks, 20 to 22 hours a day, and moves the teeth a fraction of a millimetre.
Severe skeletal discrepancies, cases needing extractions and substantial bodily movement of teeth, and patients who realistically will not wear an appliance 22 hours a day are all better served by fixed appliances. Aligners only work while they are in the mouth; that is the honest limitation.
Your class is confirmed after the scan and the simulation, before you commit.
Aligner treatment suits a patient living in another country better than almost any other orthodontic option. The first trip covers records, scan, simulation approval, attachment bonding and the first aligners. After that, sets are shipped to your address and reviews are done by video with photographs. One mid-course visit is usually planned, and a final visit for refinement and retainers.
Teeth move back if nothing holds them. A fixed wire behind the front teeth, a clear retainer worn at night, or both, is part of the plan and not an extra sold at the end.
FAQ
Yes. Most of the course is managed remotely with shipped aligners and video reviews. Plan on two trips to Tirana, at the start and near the end.
Six to ten months for mild cases, up to two years for complex ones. The simulation gives a number before you start.
Each new aligner feels tight for a day or two. It is pressure rather than pain, and it settles.
That is often the best sequence: align first, whiten second, then restore only the teeth that still need it. It usually means fewer veneers and less tooth removed.
