What the treatment can realistically achieve

Before-and-after photographs are the easiest thing on a dental website to fake and the hardest to verify. Ours will be our own patients, published with signed consent and photographed under the same light and angle. Until each of those consents is in hand, here is the honest version: what each treatment can and cannot do, and how long it takes.

Documented cases

Eighteen cases, before and after

These are panoramic radiographs from cases treated at Primo Dental Clinic: the situation on arrival and the same jaw after treatment. Radiographs are shown rather than smile photographs for a simple reason — an X-ray shows the work itself, the implant positions, the bone, the fit of the restoration, and it is far harder to dress up than a photograph taken under flattering light. Any dentist can read them.

Radiographs are published without patient names or any identifying data. Treatment details for each case — number of implants, materials, number of trips and treating clinician — are added as each patient's written consent is confirmed. Send your own panoramic X-ray and we will tell you which of these situations most resembles yours.

Treatment by treatment

Single implant

A replaced tooth that does not announce itself. Shade and shape are matched to the neighbours; on a back tooth the match is straightforward, on an upper front tooth it is the hardest task in dentistry and we will tell you honestly how close we expect to get.

Days in Tirana: 3–4 days, then 5–7 after healing

All-on-4 and All-on-6

A fixed arch that lets you eat normally again and does not move when you speak. The teeth are made to suit your face, age and lip line rather than to be as white and as large as possible — a full arch that looks obviously artificial is a common and avoidable outcome.

Days in Tirana: 6–7 days, then 5–7 after healing

E-max veneers

Shape, colour, small gaps and minor rotations corrected. What veneers cannot do is fix a bite problem or genuinely crooked teeth; where that is the case we will propose aligners first, which usually means fewer veneers and less tooth removed.

Days in Tirana: 4–6 days, one trip

Zirconia crowns

Full coverage without the grey line at the gum that old metal-ceramic crowns develop. Colour is approved at a try-in before glazing, and for several units the shape is agreed before anything is finished.

Days in Tirana: 3–5 days, one trip

Endodontic retreatment

A tooth that was root-treated elsewhere, failed, and would otherwise be extracted, kept and restored instead. It is worth asking about before agreeing to an implant: keeping your own tooth is usually both cheaper and better.

Days in Tirana: 2–3 days, one trip

Professional whitening

Several shades lighter on natural teeth. It does not lighten existing crowns, veneers or composite fillings, so where those are present in the smile line the sequence matters: whiten first, then match the restorations to the new shade.

Days in Tirana: 1–2 days, one trip

How your own case is documented

How your own case is documented

Whatever the result, you leave with the evidence of it.

Primo Dental Clinic, Tirana
  • Photographs and radiographs at the first examination, before anything is done
  • The CBCT scan, which is yours to keep and to show any dentist at home
  • Intra-operative documentation for surgical stages
  • Photographs at the provisional stage, where shape and colour are still adjustable
  • Final photographs and radiograph at the completion of treatment
  • The implant passport with the lot numbers of every fixture placed

A note on published cases

A case is only published here when the patient has signed a consent form that they may withdraw at any time, when the before and after photographs were taken under matched lighting and at the same angle, and when no identifying detail beyond age range and country appears. Photographs that show only the mouth or the smile, rather than the whole face, are preferred for exactly that reason.

Ask what is achievable in your case

Send a panoramic X-ray or clear photographs of your teeth. You will get an honest assessment of what can be achieved, what cannot, and what it would cost — including when the answer is that you would be better treated closer to home.
